Building upon what you have already learned, this course expands on what you already know about preventing problems and what to do if they occur. You will find this course both demanding and rewarding as you learn to rise to the challenges and master your new skills while making the transition beyond yourself and considering the safety and well-being of others.
This course is a lot of fun. Not only is it fun for the students, but it is also a favorite of our instructors. If you want to seriously improve your diving skills, have fun, learn some invaluable life-saving skills and greatly increase your diving confidence, then this course is ideal for you.
You can sign up for the rescue course whenever you want and complete all of the academic components on your own time.
A prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course is that students must have a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate that is valid and will be current for one year after the course. If you do not have a CPR certificate, you can obtain one by completing the Emergency First Response (EFR) course. The EFR course is PADI’s unique CPR and First Aid course that teaches you general first aid skills, CPR and some first aid skills that are particular to typical diving emergencies. The EFR course is designed to run in conjunction with the Rescue Diver course.
